About MeI am currently wearing a variety of hats and working as a Vice Principal, Numeracy Prep teacher and spending a day in the classroom as a 2/3 teacher. I am very passionate about teaching, learning, and having fun together as a classroom community. I work hard to create meaningful learning experiences that support my students' personal and academic growth. If you are already one of my students, you know that one of my favourite subjects to teach is math! I have a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Numeracy and have received two awards for outstanding and innovative teaching in math. I am also on the Executive of the BC Association of Mathematics Teachers. I enjoy spending time with my family (I am a mom of 2), running, dancing, reading, doing math puzzles and playing ultimate.

Classroom Values |
In my classroom I aspire to create an environment where my students feel a strong sense of belonging and where they work to become the best version of themselves. More than anything, I want my students to leave our year feeling confident, capable, and cared for. I believe in the importance of kindness, respect, hard work, community, connection and inclusiveness.
